I'm a jeans and tee kinda gal. And there is no better way to show you passion for horses than having it in print on a cute top. I've scoured the internet to find the best! We all know there are many many tees with horses, but I'm sure none are as cute as these! I know some of these will be going into my closet shortly. By the way, your going to love the very last shirt posted. Every horse girl has had this problem at east once in their life!
I think we can all agree, breeches aren't exactly the most flattering piece of clothing we own. I love black, white, or denim breeches. Add a pop of pink or a bit o' bling bling and I am in heaven! But these breeches feature a little more than a pop of pink. They are bright! So I searched far and wide to find a few of my favorites. I'm sure that there are two pairs on here who have stolen my heart!
One thing I loved was grooming. It is quality time spent on the ground with your horse. Now to be truthful, the fruits of your hard labor were often destroyed as soon as you turned your beloved beast out. At least my bays didn't look as dirty as they actually were. And with rainy season upon us, holy mud cakes did they get filthy.
So I thought I'd list what I had in my bathing kit. These were my essentials and go to items with a few specialty items. When it cam time to bathe, I always went straight for the Ecolicious. They are made with natural and GMO free ingredients so there are no nasty chemicals on the snooty filly's coat and skin. My favorites included the Squeaky Green & Clean Shampoo, Silky Moisturizing Conditioner, Glamorous Face Highlighter, and the Moisture Maniac Detangler. When I could afford it, these were my must haves, so I normally reserved them for special occasions. I loved the way they made my horse sparkle. When I couldn't afford it, it was Mane 'n Tail! This article was originally published at Off Track Thoroughbreds by Susan Salk The Jockey Club High Point ribbon in signature colors will be given to the top-performing Thoroughbred at Rolex next weekend. The Jockey Club will present a High Point award this week to the top-performing Thoroughbred to compete in the fabled Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, an award symbolizing the achievement of ex-racehorses in new careers and their incalculable worthiness.
For the fourth consecutive year, the top-performing Thoroughbred will receive a fine leather halter with a brass nameplate denoting the High Point Winner, and a long ribbon featuring Jockey Club colors of navy blue, hunter green, and white. The ribbon, says Kristen Lisheney of the Jockey Club, is a visible reminder of the growing backing the Jockey Club is committing to efforts to retrain and re-home retired racehorses. “Each year we’ve given out a number of prizes and awards to Thoroughbred show horses. In our first year (four years ago) we had 150 Thoroughbred shows. That number has continued to grow, and this year we’re forecasted to support 750 shows, and we’ve given awards to close to 1,800 Thoroughbreds,” she says. “We put the Thoroughbred Incentive Program in place to encourage the retraining of horses after they’ve finished racing and breeding, and we wanted to recognize those horses who excel at their second career.” Everything over at Moxie Designs is almost to beautiful to use! She doesn't lie when her slogan says "It's all about the details!" because it's true!! I'd be to afraid to use them. I'd die if they got dirty! Moxie Designs does all types of things. From brushes & totes, stall signs, and more! This brush set here is one of my favorites. Who could not love this? I'd only pull brushes like this out on special occasions.
I took a great hiatus from writing my blog. I went through a lot of changes in my personal life. And now I am back. Things are a lot different on the home front now. Life is finally falling back together. I deleted everything that was on here and I am starting over fresh and new.
One of the new features is the Featured Adoptions area. I'll mostly have OTTBs here in this section, as the Thoroughbred is my favorite breed, but will have other horses here as well. So check here weekly and see what beautiful horse is looking fo a home. You may even find your one of a kind heart horse! Every Friday will be the Rescue Spotlight. If you know of a rescue that you would like to see the spotlight on, nominate them. I'll choose one and send them out a few questions, and ask for some photos. Then they will get their own special place on the front page here and a spot on Facebook! I'll update with equestrian news, rescues, events, reviews, and more.
